This year the Freeport of Riga handles cargoes by 15 MLN tons more

This year the Freeport has handled 9,428 MLN tons of bulk cargoes, reaching 12,3% raise comparing to the first seven months of 2005 when 8,398 MLN tons were handled.
2,814 MLN tons of liquid cargoes are handled which is by 33,3% more than within the first seven months of the last year when 2,111 MLN tons were handled.
The amounts of the general cargoes have decreased by 22,2% this year reaching 2,954 MLN tons. During the respective period of the last year about 3,796 MLN tons were handled.
During the first seven months of the current year 130 381 passengers were serviced in the Freeport of Riga, which is by 7,5% more than last year, when 121 257 passengers were serviced. Of those, 47 708 persons were cruise passengers, the number of which has increased by 14,3% comparing with the last year.
